The Pegasus 41 is Nike best-selling workhorse worldwide, an iconic model with over 40 years of evolution. ReactX foam midsole (13 percent more responsive than classic React, 43 percent lower carbon footprint) with two Air Zoom units (forefoot + heel) for propulsive cushioning. 37mm heel / 27mm forefoot stack (10mm drop, measured 11.9mm), weight 297g (US 10). Engineered sleeved mesh upper with Dynamic Midfoot Fit system for lateral support. Also available in Extra Wide (4E). Carbon rubber waffle-pattern outsole for durability and grip. Stack height increased 4mm vs Pegasus 40, more cushioned ride but heavier. For hybrid athletes: great mainstream daily trainer for mileage building, gym, mixed daily use. Not for racing or forefoot strikers (10-12mm drop is penalizing), but one of the most reliable shoes on the market for those wanting a versatile best-seller.
